The second SASCES forum of 2011 brought together social care providers for residential and domiciliary care along with health professionals and social care representatives.

The focus of the event was to provide those attending with the bigger picture of what is going on in adult social care in the Stoke on Trent area.  Paul Edden, owner of Home Instead Senior Care, Stoke on Trent and Newcastle under Lyme was invited to share his knowledge and expertise with the group through the hosting of an interactive workshop.

Paul’s workshop entitled “New types of working… are you fit for the future?” focused on person centred care planning, flexible care and dignity in care – values at the heart of Home Instead Senior Care.

SASCES role is to ensure that the adult social care workforce in Stoke on Trent has the capacity and skills to deliver high quality social care.   The forum is attended by representatives of employer organisations, including the Private, Independent, Voluntary Sectors and employers of Personal Assistants using a direct payment.
