Mayor of Wigan, Councillor Mr Michael Winstanley performed the honours and cut the red ribbon to mark the official opening of the new Home Instead Senior Care offices at Pemberton Business Centre, Richmond Hill in Wigan. Later, Lisa Nandy MP also joined the celebrations to wish the new business every success.
The Home Instead Senior Care team, led by business owner Phil Eckersley, were joined by their clients and families, and representatives from many other local older persons support groups to toast the office opening.
At the opening owner Phil said: “I am delighted to welcome all of our guests here today and thank them for supporting our business. Thanks to a fantastic team of Caregivers the business has got off to a great start and demand for our services is very high which is great news for local job seekers. I would like to hear from more people with caring and compassionate natures who would be interested in joining our team.”
Home Instead offer high quality at-home care services with minimum one hour visits to ensure that excellent relationships are established between client and Caregiver. Caregivers visit clients in their own homes across the Wigan area and services include personal care such as assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and medications; home help covering all aspects of day-to-day housework, shopping, meal preparation and household duties; and companionship services that can involve everything from escorting clients on visits or appointments to simple conversation and good company.
