Success stories are always good news, and the success of an East Northants care organisation is good news not only for the business but for the people it has been able to help in its first few months in business.
Home Instead East Northants was launched last summer but already the response to the organisation’s care service offering has been greater than expected.
Part of an international franchise, Home Instead East Northants offers companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and personal care mainly to elderly people but also to younger people with temporary or permanent care needs. Its role can include anything from driving a client to a hospital appointment or cooking a hot meal during the day, through to overnight care.
Owner Mark Darnell said: “We have 35 clients across East Northants now and have grown to a team of 30 carers, offering everything from round-the-clock care to just an hour or two a week.
“This is beyond our expectations at the beginning and is a very positive sign that we are going to be successful.
“Helping people to remain independent in their own homes with the support that they need is a very rewarding and worthwhile thing to do and the early response has allowed us to recruit more caregivers, thus allowing continuity of caregiving staff to each individual so that, as far as possible, they see the same carer and build up a lasting and trusting relationship.
“Our encouraging start means we are confident that any new clients will be able to secure the level of care they need, and that we will have appropriately trained and qualified staff they need to help them.”
