The Liverpool Central & North office of Home Instead Senior Care is proud to announce its support for a fantastic Free VE Day Street Party.
This event takes place on May 8th 2011 at The Rotunda College 109 Great Mersey Street L5 2PL and is also to celebrate 25 years of the college being at this famous Liverpool location.
There will be an Arthur Askey tribute, a Gracie Fields singalong from Home Insteads own Kathryn Erskine and a celebration of the Andrews Sisters and other wartime favourites from Singing Our Socks Off Choir.
The Party will also feature tressle tables laden with Blancmange, Jam Butties and Old Fashioned Lemonade, Home Made Cakes and wartime treats alongside some other ‘blackmarket’ produce.
A Dig For Victory Garden and Fun and Games for the younger member of the community are all lined up as well as a replica Bomb Shelter and our own ‘War Time Tanning Salon’.
