Meryem our Recruitment and Retention Coordinator and myself had a stall at the Green Man Community Centre Opportunities Fair. This was organised by the Centre Manager Mark Healey. The fair was for people around the Borough to see some of the services offered by a variety of Barnet organisations.
We were particularly interested in attending to inform local residents of employment opportunities at Hoe Instead Senior Care, Meryem met a number of very nice people who were very interested in working with us.
We also spoke with a variety of people who were interested in using our service. Many were pleasantly surprised that in addition to the traditional personal care services we also offer home help and companionship. There was also a lot of interest in the flexibility we provide plus our desire to provide a service that encourages and stimulates our clients.
Aside from ourselves there was a good gathering of local charities, action groups, and community organisations, old friends, and people we have not met before. We felt the Fair was a great opportunity for us and would like to congratulate Mark and his team and would also like to thank James Davidson who took all the photos.
