A blooming good time was had by all as the team from ‘at home care’ company, Home Instead Senior Care were out in their local community delivering daffodils in honour of St David’s Day.

Home Instead owner Philip Batchelor and his Community Services Representative, Kylie Bishop teamed up with the volunteers from Penarth Live at Home Scheme to provide afternoon tea at Trinity Day Centre in Vale of Glamorgan for 25 elderly people who either live on their own or find it difficult to get out and about.
Philip commented;“We all had a lovely time. Daffodils are a sure sign that Spring is finally on its way and they certainly brought a few smiles to the faces of everyone involved. We also delivered some Easter Eggs for the raffle, a bit early I know but hopefully they will be able to resist them for the next few weeks.”
Phil continues;“It is really important to get people together for social gatherings such as this and the Penarth Live at Home Scheme does great work supporting people who might otherwise not have the confidence to get out as much as they used to. More people today are able to live independently in their own homes for longer with the help of services like those we provide at Home Instead and the Live at Home Scheme helps people to maintain a healthy social life.”
