A steadily increasing client list and new accreditation is likely to lead to care at home provider Home Instead East Northants taking on more staff.
Since it was launched 3 months ago, Home instead has grown steadily, providing social and companionship care to clients throughout the East Northants area. Recently the firm has been awarded Care quality Commission accreditation, which allows it to increase its services to include personal care.
“Until this accreditation came through, we were unable to offer personal care, which would include such things as helping a person to bathe or dress,” said Mark Darnell, who founded the business with business partner Elaine Lomax.
“Once the business was up and running we applied for CQC registration, completed all the relevant paperwork and last month following an inspection received notification that we had received accreditation. This enables us to offer a broader range of services, while giving clients and their families the peace of mind that we have been inspected and accredited and that we are a service that they can trust,” said Elaine.
As the Company grows it is looking to increase its team of well trained and vetted caregivers across the region. “We will provide full training, and many people have some experience of caring, whether for children or an elderly relative, and a lot of what is required for this non-medical service is common sense. In many cases, our clients simply want someone to go with them to appointments or call in to drop off some shopping, so it would suit those looking for a few hours’ work each week,” said Elaine.
