Parkinson’s Training
On the 23 May 2012 Home Instead Preston had a team training session from Parkinson’s UK presented by Claire Hewitt who is the regional trainer for the northwest.
It was a well-structured and thought provoking presentation, providing detailed information on all aspects of Parkinson’s. By the end of the session the team fully appreciated the key aspects required to support a person who is suffering from Parkinson’s.
The Preston care team have already received training from our Care Manager which enables them to provide practical care and support for a full range of personal needs. However, having received additional training from Claire at Parkinson’s UK we are confident we can present a care plan that meets the specific needs of a client with Parkinson’s working collaboratively with all concerned to ensure a holistic approach is taken to meet the individual’s care needs.
I would yet again like to thank Claire for giving us a thought provoking and enlightening training session, and also thank our team for their attendance.
