A new service specialising in caring for older people in their own homes has opened in Farnborough and owner Claire Percy is aiming to create fifty new jobs in the area. Home Instead Senior Care will offer non-medical at-home care for older people living in Farnborough, Farnham, Fleet and the surrounding areas.
For Claire, this exciting new venture is a change from her former career in marketing and publishing, and was prompted by personal family experience.
Claire picks up the story: “My husband and I found it difficult to find care for Bill’s Mum who had been diagnosed with dementia. When my Nan was older, it was fortunate I lived nearby, so was able to help. However, Bill’s Mum did not live locally to us, so it was more difficult to ensure she was safe and well-cared for in her own home."
"I felt there was a lack of information when it came to finding help to care for older loved ones. Therefore, on hearing about Home Instead and its commitment to changing the face of ageing in the UK, I was really keen to get involved. With the help and support of Bill and our Care Manager, I am thrilled to be opening the doors of Home Instead here in Farnborough!”
Claire feels passionately about her new venture and is excited to be able to make a difference to their lives of people living in the local area by allowing them to live independently for as long as possible. She says: “In order to achieve the highest-standards of at-home care we are looking for kind, compassionate and like-minded individuals who are interested in joining the company and helping with this mission!”
