A Southport care company has marked its fifth anniversary by donating £300 to the Alzheimer’s Society. Home Instead Senior Care, based in Scarisbrick New Road, welcomed Linda Lawson an information officer from Alzheimer’s Society Southport as well as other clients and CAREGivers to hand over the cheque.
Linda told the team more about the “This is Me” campaign which aims to look after those affected by dementia. Home Instead owner Irene Hough commented: “As we care for around 150 older people in their own homes, we are extremely passionate about providing help for people affected with dementia. We carry out ongoing fundraising activity for the cause and were thrilled to be able to present this donation to Linda, and also to hear about the fantastic work that Alzheimer’s Society is doing in the community. Linda commented “It was lovely to join in Home Instead’s celebrations and meet all of their wonderful CAREGivers. Thank you for once again your generous donation and ongoing support, it really is appreciated.”
