Symone Salwan, owner of Home Instead Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Edenbridge, is celebrating with her team after receiving an Outstanding rating in her latest inspection report from the CQC. This is the 15th Outstanding Inspection report for Home Instead.

When Symone set up her office in 2011, she said she wanted to be the “best, most valued provider of home care for the elderly, enabling my clients to lead a fulfilling life, being cared for in the way that they deserve.”

Motivated to provide an outstanding care service after experiencing an upsetting and distressing time when seeking at-home care for her grandmother, Symone learned about Home Instead from her friend Anitra Camargo, owner of Home Instead Windsor, Egham and Staines. Coincidentally, the friends both received
Outstanding ratings from the CQC in the same month!

In the report, the CQC inspector noted that the service was exceptionally responsive, using ‘creative approaches to deliver personalised and responsive care.’

They also said that Symone ‘Demonstrated outstanding commitment and skills in tackling the challenges faced by the people they supported. They went beyond the provision of the service to ensure that services in the local community were supported to understand the needs of their service users.’

One relative was quoted in the report and said, “This company delivers a truly caring and compassionate service, enriching the life of the client and also being exceptionally supportive to the clients’ families. The care given in my experience is unparalleled.”

Another relative said “The staff are excellent. It gives peace of mind to know exactly when they will be coming and they will use their own initiative.”

A caregiver spoke to the inspector and said, “My job is to help people carry on with their life in the way they always have. We help people make adjustments to overcome any challenges they may face.”

Speaking about the Outstanding rating, Symone Salwan said, “I am so proud of our team, and the way our amazing CAREGivers provide exceptional care to all of our clients. They are real, everyday superheroes, making a positive difference to the lives of the elderly in our community. The families of our clients can have peace of mind that their loved ones are looked after as I would want my own Grandmother to have been cared for.”

Congratulations to Symone and her team in Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Edenbridge.
