Jo Farn, local caregiver for at-home care company Home Instead Senior Care, is a finalist for the Great West Midlands Dementia Carer award. Jo who cares for elderly clients in Sutton Coldfield has got through to the final round, with the winner to be announced on October 15th.
Jo Farn was nominated for the award by her team at Home Instead for the fantastic work that she does caring for her clients with dementia. Jo is so committed that she requested if she could be interviewed by phone as an interview in person would have meant that her client with dementia would have to be visited by a different caregiver.
Owner of Home Instead in Sutton Coldfield, Sally Clough commented, “Jo is a very special lady. She has incredible skill and competence working with our dementia clients. She treats each person as an individual and makes a real difference to dementia care.”
Jo always goes that extra mile for Home Instead and her clients. Just recently she took part in the local 10k Memory Walk and raised a staggering £227 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Sally continued, “We are all delighted to hear that she has become a finalist, and have our fingers crossed for the announcement of the winner in a few weeks time.”
