Owner of Home Instead Senior Care in Wigan, Phil Eckersley was asked to be a judge for the prestigious Great British North West Care Awards on the 15th September. Judging
took place in Blackpool at the Imperial Hotel, and the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony being held at Blackpool Tower on the 8th October.
Phil was selected as a guest judge due to his knowledge and experience of the care sector. As the chair of two categories from a total of 21, he was joined by a panel of judges to cast their vote for the winner of the Ancillary Worker Award and the Care Team Award.
Phil commented, “It was quite a proud moment and a privilege to be part of such a prestigious occasion. It was great to hear the stories from the people who are making a real difference in older peoples' lives in the North West.”
