Charitable youngsters from the Stephen Perse Sixth Form College gave up their time to make sure that the elderly residents of Cambridge enjoyed the recent Royal Wedding celebrations.

Chloe Francis who is Vice President of the college’s charity programme got together with her Dad, local at-home care company owner Mike Francis, to put on a celebration for all the lunch club regulars at St Paul’s Church on Hills Road in Cambridge.

Chloe and her friends Helena and Julie served up cream teas and joined in the excitement over the fact that William and Catherine were to be the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Mike Francis of Home Instead Senior Care, who hosted the celebrations, said, “The girls were very keen to help with this event and have also persuaded me to make a donation to their chosen charity which is the Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge.”
